On monday morning i had a client shoot with the faboulous Sian Lidgate, the model was Sara Pender, there was also an assisant on hand aswell (thank you kerry, my photos would have been a lot less interesting with out your accetate holding skills :]) The Shoot went really, and the photos came out faboulous, i think it was one of my most fun shoots to date. The model was faboulous, not only was she totaly professional, but she was also fun aswell, Ive never worked with any model capable of posing the way she did at complete ease, she has only been modeling part time for a year and is already way above the standards of some professional models. She was so tall aswell (My mum often commented on her height and her complete natural beauty even with out make up this girl is totally stunning!) I highly reccomend her she was fab!
Sian was her faboulous self. Creating three completly different, versatile looks (Im thinking we should take aqdvantage and go into buisness together ;]) Her make up was creative and totally flawless! To get to do what i love for a living and be around people who are fun and creative to work with makes me want to do better. Not only Is Sian a very creative and talented professional, but i now consider her a friend to me, and i can honestly say she is one of the nicest and talented people i have ever had the pleasure of working with. So keep at it missy :)!
I decided to experiment with my lighting a bit more for this shoot the model wanted studio shots for her book and s i figured that focusing on lighting, styling and posing would give her something she doesnt have yet.
We played about with bathing suits for most of the day the poor model was freezing for the most part (im sorry my kitchen isnt warmer, its the only room in the house without heating!) against a white background, instead of using coloured GELS to vreate the colours lights all i did was ask my assistant to hold coloured accetate in front of the lights. And to my cmplete and utter joy it worked :) Thank you to my model MUA and assistant for their patients on the day im a complete perfectionist and i know there were sick of hearing the words "alright lets try that again!" I did say it quite a bit! So thank you guys. Hears some behind the scenes shots for you to oogle over :)....
during the first bathing shoot look Sian realised she had baby oil in her kit!
Sara and Sian did enjoy going over board and playing with the baby oil :)
My faboulous assistant and best friend Kerry foster Thank you for being my friend, i know i drive you crazy sometimes :)
Kerry even did a spur of the moment shoot at the end of the day for us, to play about with an idea i had, sadly the shots didnt come out quit the way i wanted them, that wont stop me from trying again though! :)
Second look, re-applying, Sian at work.
Hear are some of the final looks for your enjoyment aswell hope you like them! :)
Enjoy! Xx

Well Yesterday was very fun, i arranged a shoot with faboulous MUA Sian Lidgate, and model Lauren lamarr. It went extremely well. Im so happy with the out come because the pictures came out amazing!
Sian fixing laurens make-up
It was a very fun chilled shoot, We started at about 10am as we wanted to get an early start on the day. We experimented with the haor and make up and and got a very fantasy look from the experimenting. We wanted to try and acheive a tim walker style by making the pictures very summery and florarly, and i think we managed to achive this (although no where near Mr Walkers exellence!) We hadent really thought of location until my sister mentioned somewhere she had seen while on her bike so we took the car to the hospital across the road from my house and went up a back farm road to get to the location, we had to hop 2 fences and a field filled with nettles. (On the one day i decide to wear a dress!) I didnt get stung but i did get scratched quite a bit we had to go through a wee stream and a couple of hills aswell but it was worth it for the results we got :).
Fixing her dress
We did managte to get a couple of behind the scenes from it but there should be more on the way! :)
Us trying to haul all our props around including 2 wooden chairs!
The location where we shot was actually really beautiful and we were really lucky it didnt rain on us we got little bits of blue every now and then!
sian re-touching laurens hair.
This next image was lauren lying on a log, but she had hair in the way which was distracting in the shot, you can just see Sian's hand fixing her hair for her :)
And here are some of the final results from the days shooting, the rest you can see on my flickr.
Enjoy! :)

Well, i got my studio lights a couple of weeks ago and things are going great, and had a test shoot yesterday with the fabulous award winning make up artist Sian Lidgate and model Gail Mackenzie.
We all experimented it was purely just go with the flow yesturday and as a result of the relaxed attitude on set we got some fab images out of it. We all got on very well and the atmosphere was relaxed and calm and friendly as well, which is deffinetly a plus for me, no bitching or moaning, we all got on great. We started about 12, got the studio set up while sian did the make up and we all helped each other out. we managed to squeeze 3 looks in to 3 and a half hours which is exellent! Ive still got loads more to edit! I always love editing studio photos because the quality if far better that natural light plus i love playing about with lighting! :) heres a couple of behind the scenes!
This was us on our third look and we decided we wanted to put a wee bow on the model so sian went right in there and did it and i managed to catch a quick 'BTS' shot.
re-adjusting the bow for second half of the photos.
Im so thankful i got the chance to work with two talented professionals, the model gail also happens to be a very talented photographer as well.
On another note, Id quite like to try my hand a movie stills photography, ive been researching it for a while but i know its very hard to break into that side of the industry, anyone who could give me tips or some advice id be very greatful for :)
here are some of the final results from the shoot yesterday afternoon...Enjoy!
